- Biography
Vithika (she/her) is pursuing her Ph.D. in Communication at Georgia State University. Her current research interest includes misinformation on new media platforms and their impact on politics and society. She is also generally interested in social media use and its effects. Vithika has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Communication and taught undergrad students at GSU. Before commencing her doctoral journey at GSU, Vithika was an assistant professor and tutored and mentored undergrad students at a noted girls’ college in eastern India. She started her Communication career as a print media journalist in India and has seven years of experience in the field covering beats such as politics and education.
