Katerina Papatheodorou
Presidential Fellow Psychology- Education
Katerina Papatheodorou is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Community Psychology. Papatheodorou earned her M.A. in Forensic Psychology from George Washington University and her BSc in Business Administration and Management from Boston University.
- Specializations
Research focus is on the psychology of terrorism. Her work includes research on radicalization, deradicalization and disengagement, and terrorism-related global events.
- Biography
Papatheodorou works as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Violent Extremism Research Group with Dr. John Horgan. She is also Project Coordinator for a DHS-funded research initiative on the Incels movement.
Papatheodorou worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the GSU Department of Psychology and as an Intern with the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland. She has also coordinated content and data for the Global Terrorism Database which publishes annually.
Papatheodorou is fluent in English and Greek.
