ATLANTA —Georgia State University, Professor of Communication, founding co-director of the Atlanta Global Studies Center, and lead researcher in the Transcultural Conflict and Violence Initiative, Dr. Anthony F. Lemieux was cited in recent news report by WSB-TV. The report dives into understanding radicalization, after the recent New Year’s Day truck attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans and the explosion at Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. Lemieux spoke to Channel 2’s Audrey Washing; “Groups like ISIS and terrorist groups across the board, international or domestic, look for people with military background and capabilities, so they can have the capability to act on these bad intentions,” Lemieux said.
