ATLANTA – The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded a grant to Parents 4 Peace (P4P), who will partner with experts on targeted violence from Georgia State University (GSU). P4P is a non-governmental organization at the forefront of facilitating exit from violent extremism. The proposed collaboration will not only increase the operational and management capabilities of P4P but will see the design and implementation of quality assurance protocols, measurement and evaluation to enhance the effectiveness of P4P’s already vital services.
GSU Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Dr John Horgan, and PhD Student Katharina Meredith are the collaborators for Georgia State University. Horgan is a member of the Transcultural Conflict and Violence Initiative at GSU.
